How to Create a Bathroom Basket
One of the features of my wedding coordination service is the creation of bathroom baskets, in order to save the bride and groom some time. What on earth is a bathroom basket, you ask?
Bathroom baskets are a nice way to provide guests at your wedding with items that they may need whilst partying it up at your wedding reception. Most ladies bring smaller, more fancy purses and handbags with them to weddings, which means there is not a lot of extra room for them to bring “just in case” toiletries. Men don’t generally bring that sort of stuff along with them anywhere to begin with. So step one is to find two baskets (or be creative and find other containers to use… maybe even something that ties into your wedding theme). One can be slightly larger, because the basket for the ladies will contain some extra items. Stick to your wedding colors, if nothing else! You can always get basket filler like colored paper shreds or even a fancy cloth napkin with beading on it to jazz up a simple basket from a discount store.

Once the baskets are filled, make sure you place them on the counter top next to the sink(s) in each bathroom at the reception venue. (This is a good task to delegate to a bridesmaid if you don’t have a wedding coordinator!) You can also consider placing a votive or tea light candle near the basket on the counter top, or a tiny vase of flowers, etc. Be creative!!
