5 Small Wedding Venues in Saratoga to Check Out
Weddings don’t have to be a grand, lavish affair. Many couples prefer to have an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends – they don’t necessarily need to party with their third cousins and other people they barely know.
If this sounds like you, and you’re looking to have around 100 or fewer guests, read on to see which small venues in the Saratoga Springs area you’ll want to check out.
1) Mouzon House
The Mouzon House is a top-notch restaurant known for their exquisite farm-to-table cuisine, handcrafted vintage cocktails, and charming atmosphere. But, did you know they can also host weddings?
You can host a 70-person wedding indoors, or 130-person outdoor wedding for a memorable event your guests will surely be talking about for years.
The Mouzon House dates back to 1883 when it was a Victorian brick home. In 1911, it was purchased by a Cherokee woman who was married to an African American Creole. Today, The Mouzon House uses local cuisine to create a French Creole-influenced menu that is sure to wow your guests.
2) Riverstone Manor
Riverstone Manor in nearby Glenville can accommodate larger weddings, but they offer one option that is perfect for an intimate affair: their 1800s original manor house is excellent for wedding receptions of 25 people or fewer.
This unique location rests on 15 acres of riverfront property along the Mohawk and provides scenic beauty in a secluded location.
3) Anne’s Washington Inn
Anne’s Washington Inn provides the amenities of a fine hotel with the feel of a bed and breakfast. This Victorian country house hosts weddings for up to 100 people in their remarkable dining room that is filled with tall columns and other quaint architectural details. They can also host outdoor weddings, which could accommodate more people.
What makes this wedding venue special is that when you reserve the inn for your wedding you and your family and friends are the only people at the inn. Talk about a personal, intimate wedding experience!
4) The Wishing Well
The Wishing Well is a quaint restaurant located in nearby Gansevoort. Like The Mouzon House, The Wishing Well has a rich history behind it: the building was constructed in 1823 and the restaurant has been in business since 1936.
You can host up to 120 guests in this Adirondack-style building as you say your vows in front of a cozy fireplace. Think rustic, romantic, and tailored to you. They’ll work with you to customize a menu, and while they do offer a variety of wedding packages, they can also work with you to create your own.
5) DeMaranville Farm
DeMaranville Farm specializes in what they call “petite weddings” for up to 80 guests. If you’ve been toying with the idea of a barn wedding – which are becoming insanely popular these days – this might be the venue for you.
The property includes three barns, a farmhouse, picturesque gardens, a spring fed pond, and a private swimming pool. This historic farm was built in 1853 and is now a community landmark.
